Can you offroad in a Sahara?

I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while now. It’s the Sahara, it’s off-road, and I’m going to find out whether or not it can handle it.

So last weekend, we went to Joshua Tree National Park with our Sahara to see if it has what it takes to conquer the wild. We were also able to check out a Rubicon, which was pretty cool.

When you’re in the Sahara, you trust your traction to the mild tires and a rear limited-slip differential. Protection is also bolstered in the Rubicon not only with skidplates but with rock sliders and heavy-duty bumpers.

We were able to take both vehicles through some pretty gnarly terrain—even on rockier trails that required us to put them in 4-low. And we learned that the Sahara is more than capable of tackling some off-road obstacles.
